Abstract Autumn Tree

I created and fused pattern bars in my kiln first. Then cut them into slices using a tile saw. Other elements include red reactive glass on chestnut brown, and stringer glass in red and marigold yellow on a white opaque background.
Later I covered the design elements with a masking material and sandblasted the picture to remove the glossy finish from the white glass. It now has a matte finish, contrasting nicely with the high gloss finish on the autumn design.
I cleaned the bark off two diamond willow branches and they are attached to create an easel-type stand for the artwork.
